I was pondering on the technology behind a livestream, and it occurred to me that it is an embodiment of many different inventions that were discovered in different generations by people who never knew each other and probably never met. Electricity was discovered long ago, the microphone was discovered at another time, the computer was invented later on, the Internet was invented after this, and the list goes on, but all of this was put together on YouTube, and we can watch sermons wherever we are in the same moment.

So, David began as a shepherd boy taking care of sheep because he would one day shepherd the nation of Israel. He was neglected by his family, so he became a worshipper, and it became his identity, and we are still reading and exalting God in his worship songs till today. He became a warrior so he could survive wild beasts in the desert while looking after the flock, and he was able to kill a lion and a bear, which are two nearly impossible animals to kill by humans without a gun. He will later become a captain of the host of Israel who led them to several battles without a single defeat.

When God wants to make a man of generational impact, he begins to bring out different streams and giftings from his life at different seasons. He makes him go through challenges, and it looks as if God has forsaken him, but God is building something that he will later use. We must realise that God is a wise investor and he never wastes resources. He will create avenues for those gifts to manifest because, at a later date, he will combine everything into the man he wants to use.

Recognise, therefore, that whatever God is currently manifesting in your life is a part of the picture in your becoming. Your gifts, your sufferings, your upbringing, and the people God brought your way are all divinely orchestrated and connected to where you are going. Don’t stop singing because you think your voice is not good enough; God wants to use it for something greater in his own time. Remember, God doesn’t waste resources.

Prayer point:

Let’s thank God for His word today. Let us ask grace to fulfil our God ordained destiny and not abort it.
