Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded; But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof:ย  (Proverbs 1:24-25 KJV)

We live in a world where logic and explanation is sought for everything that is. As good as that is for the satisfaction of the human mind, there are lots of exceptions available to the children of the kingdom in divine wisdom that defies logic and may be meaningless to the human thinking faculty.

For example, it is almost impossible for David to kill Goliath with a sling and a stone and even more laughable because the Philistine had been a warrior from his youth and remained a current champion at the time. It was the wisdom of God that spoke to David and counselled him to chose the weapon he used. Eventhough, it looked silly against a giant, David prevailed because he listened to the wisdom of God which is also the Spirit of the Lord and hand of the Lord was visibly seen in that victory.

Wisdom is still calling and speaking today louder than ever to men, women, old and young but many have refused to listen. Because of Godโ€™s love, he keeps sending voices to guide, to warn, to lead us in the way that we should go (Ps 32:8). Sometimes, he comes to us when we are fast asleep at night and reveals to us the things that must shortly come to pass with the sincere hope that we will rise up and take the necessary actions and instructions. At other times, He comes to speak to us through His word and it continues to burn in our hearts.

There are losses that are totally avoidable if only we can listen to the wisdom of God. The wisest man that ever lived began his teachings by saying that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge and only fools despise wisdom (Pro. 1:7). Wisdom is the navigating compass of destiny and without it, men will be lost in the wilderness of life.

Prayer point:
Let us thank God for His word today. Letโ€™s ask for grace to always obey and follow the wisdom of God at all times.
