Where can I go from Your Spirit? … Even there Your hand shall lead me and Your right hand shall hold me.

Psalm 139:7–10

 

I read a story about a man on a long trip, he felt a strong leading to pray in the Spirit.
He obeyed. Minutes later, a massive road accident unfolded ahead—but he escaped.

He later said:

“I didn’t see a vision. I just responded because I knew God was nudging me.”

This is to let us know that God-consciousness sharpens your ability to sense divine direction.

The greatest treasure of the Christian life is not what we receive from God but God Himself. There is no higher experience than walking through each moment with a living awareness that God is present—guiding, watching, strengthening, and loving us.

The consciousness of God is not a feeling, a vision, or goosebumps. It is the quiet, steady persuasion that I am not alone. When this truth moves from your mind into your daily awareness, it transforms everything.

We often expect God in spectacular moments—visions, angels, miracles. Yet Scripture reveals that God walks with us in the very ordinary. In the steps we take (Psalm 37:23), in the words we speak (Psalm 19:14), in our rising and lying down (Psalm 139:2–3), in our work and rest (Col. 3:23–24). The consciousness of God begins when we stop limiting His presence to “church moments” and start acknowledging Him in daily life.

“Lord, You are here… even now.”

God is not watching to condemn you.
He watches to strengthen, guide, preserve, and defend you.

Like a loving Father watching a toddler learning to walk, He stays close—not to judge—
but to catch you if you fall.
God sees me… and He is for me.

The consciousness of God rises to its highest level when you realise God is not just around you… He is within you.

This means that his wisdom is within your spirit. You don’t go to find God — you carry Him.

Say aloud: God lives in me. I am never abandoned.

To build a lifestyle of God-consciousness, firstly, there’s a need for constant Acknowledgement.

Proverbs 3:6
“In all your ways acknowledge Him…”

Secondly, you have to meditate on God’s Word. The Word sharpens awareness. Meditation replaces distraction with perception.

Thirdly, obey small promptings. The more you obey, the clearer His voice becomes. Most of us are guilty of disobedience sometimes.

Lastly, practice gratitude. Thankfulness keeps your heart tuned to God’s activity around you.

One benefit of living with God-consciousness is that you become courageous like David; you confront your giants fearlessly (1 Samuel 17:45). Boldness in prayer and decisions.

God is here.

God is with me.

God is in me.

God surrounds me.

God watches over me.

I walk with Him.

Let these words sink deeper into your awareness.

Let’s ask God to help us live with a steady awareness of His presence.

Let’s ask God to open our eyes to see Him in every moment.

Let’s ask God for His presence to guide our decisions, calm our fears, and purify our hearts
