Title: The Enemy Wants To Kill You

The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

 (John 10:10 NKJV)

I almost lost my life through an accident a couple of days ago, but the Lord rescued me. I was on my way back from work in the evening and was driving on a Motorway which I have used several times. About 200m to the exit which leads me home, I don’t really know what happened, but the Car scratched a Barrier, lost control, and began to move sideways. At that moment, all I could do is to hold firm to the Steering Wheel and keep shouting, “Jesus, Jesus, Jesus.” After about 50m, the Car became stable again without hitting other Cars, and I was able to exit the Motorway safely home. May the name of the Lord be praised and glorified forever!

After this Incident, I began to think about a lot of things. I remembered one man of God I follow who also survived an accident and what he said afterward. That’s when the above Scripture which I have read and meditated on several times came to mind. Beloved in the Lord, I’m not here to scare you but I want you to be conscious of the truth that the main plan of the devil is to kill you spiritually and physically. You are his number one target especially if you are a staunch Christian.

It becomes worse when you are destroying or sabotaging his work on earth by preaching the Gospel to others and interceding on behalf of others. He will then try to publicly disgrace you with lies and false accusations so many may lose interest in listening to your message. He will also fight you with different forms of temptations and difficulties. When he realizes that you are still strong and standing after all his efforts, he will then decide to completely wipe you out from the face of this earth.

Thanks be to God that the above Scripture didn’t end at where the devil plans to kill us but went on to say that Christ came so we may have life (John 10:10). Our Lord Jesus has exposed the plans of the enemy to us and so we are not ignorant of all his devices. He has assured us not to worry because He is with us and has already defeated the devil.

If you believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and have a good relationship with Him, you don’t live your life in fear of what the enemy plans to do to you. However, you live your life in Faith in what Christ has already accomplished for you (Gal 2:20, Rom 1:17). The enemy will keep fighting you, but all his efforts will be rendered futile by the Lord.

Beloved in the Lord, the enemy plans to steal, kill, and destroy you but Christ came so you will have life, and have it more abundantly. Therefore, don’t live your life in fear of the enemy and his evil plans but live your life in Faith in Christ who has already won the victory for you.

Prayer Point:

Let’s thank God for His Word today. Let’s ask the Lord to reveal all the evil Plans of the enemy to all Believers around the world. Let’s also ask the Lord to help all Believers to build a good relationship with Him.
