CALL TO PRAYER

Title: The Generation of Seekers

This is the generation (description) of those who diligently seek Him and require Him as their greatest need, who seek Your face, even [as did] Jacob.  (Psalms 24:6 AMP)

The Lord our God is rich and abundant in Glory. Therefore, there is always more in Christ to know and experience. There are lot of deeper revelations of His Nature and Kingdom to know, many Spiritual Gifts to experience, and greater dimensions of His Power to be manifested. All these are available to Sons of God. The truth is that what the Lord has in store for His people, no eye has seen it neither has it entered into the heart of any man (1 Cor 2:9).

The question is who may ascend onto the mountain of the Lord? And who may stand in His holy place? This is where enormous amount of His Power and Glory resides. There were many requirements which were mentioned; he who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted up his soul to what is false, nor has sworn deceitfully (Ps 24:4). However, for one to easily meet all these requirements, the key is to become a Seeker (Ps 24:6).

Seekers are people who are determined to know and serve the Lord above everyone or everything else. These people are willing to serve the Lord whether He blesses them or not. They do not serve the Lord because of what He has or what He can give them like money, cars, fame, jobs, fruit of the womb, etc. However, they serve God out of love for Him and His Kingdom.

Some people will call them radical Christians because trials, problems and circumstances of this world cannot keep them away from loving and serving God. They are also always determined to go deeper in the Lord. There are many examples of Believers who sought the Lord in other Generations and experienced His Glory: Abraham, Jacob, Moses, David, Isaiah, Elijah, Elisha, etc.

Apostle Paul was also a Seeker. Personally, I would say he inspires me a lot. Upon all his sufferings, revelations, Spiritual Gifts, and manifestation of Power, he was still determined to know the Lord more. This can be seen in his letter to the Church in Philippi where he said,” …that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death, if, by any means, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead (Phil 3:10-11).”   

Beloved in the Lord, there is more in the Lord. You must not be comfortable or relaxed at the level you are at today. Desire or be determined to go deeper. He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him (Heb 11:6). Don’t let the cares and pleasures of this world prevent you from becoming a Seeker. Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and He will surely take care of your needs (Matt 6:33). Decide to become a Seeker today!

Prayer Point:

Let’s thank God for His Word today. Let’s ask the Lord to help all Believers to seek Him diligently.
