When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole? [7] The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me. (John 5:6-7 KJV)
According to the pattern seen in the scriptures, we discover that God will most normally come to mankind through men, whether it be deliverance from a future famine through Joseph who was introduced by the kingโs butler (Gen. 41:11-14), David who was recommended by Saulโs servants to play for the king when the evil spirit comes upon him (1 Sam.16:18-19) or Moses who was brought to Pharoahโs palace by the Princess and secured him from destruction so he can one day come back to deliver Israel out of captivity (Exo. 2:5-10). We all need to cherish the gift of men brought our way by God.
In our opening scripture, we see an impotent man that had a stagnated destiny because he had no man. As dire as his situation was, no man took pity on him to assist because there was no evidence of any cordial relationship with anyone around him. Poor relationship with men can alter oneโs glorious destiny because God will strategically place men at junctions of your life. Since the Almighty will not come down to physically help you, what he will send your way are destiny helpers in the form of men and you must treat them well. Do all you can to guard Godly and destiny ordained relationships because most of them are there to contribute to our journey. We saw that it was the king that made Daniel great and a ruler in a strange land (Dan. 2:48).
Job understood this well and he knowing God had anointed him as a destiny helper to many went ahead to reach out to be the eyes to the blind, feet to the lame, deliverer of the oppressed and father to the fatherless (Job. 29:15-17). Wherever God has placed you in those relationships either as the builder, the one being supported, or co-partners in destiny, the key is to keep these resource which came from God and are referred to as โmenโ. It was this consciousness that Abraham carried and entertained angels without knowing because they appeared as men.
Finally, God is the giver and no man should be worshipped. Every man and woman God has placed in your life is for a purpose and until you realise it and deliberately take steps, you may never tap into what they hold for your destiny.
Prayer point:
Let us thank God for the word today. Let us pray for grace to sustain destiny relationships and not waste human resources.
