“No weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and this is their vindication from me,โ declares the LORD.
โ Isaiah 54:17 NIV
The death of Charlie Kirk, whom many thought would have been the future president of America, has sent shockwaves all over the world. While many regard him as a martyr and are inspired to defend the faith fearlessly, not fearing death, others have become weary of the idea that it is no longer safe to speak the truth. However, after hearing a preacher say, โGod will judge you if you die before your time,โ my thoughts about the situation changed.
When Scripture says โye are gods,โ the category of people being referred to includes Christians. As gods, our lives are not bound by the same circumstances as mere humans. What kills a man has no power over us, for we are gods. In truth, for a Christian to die from a gunshot, when it’s not time for him or her to leave, it’s an aberration. When Scripture says โno weapon forged against you will prevailโ (Isaiah 54:17), it does not only refer to spiritual weapons but also physical ones. In fact, the imagery of a blacksmith forging a weapon in the previous verse of that chapter suggests that the weapons being spoken of are physical.
We are gods; we donโt die or depart this world by the will of man. We lay down our lives by the command of the Father if it is His will for us to glorify Him in that way. For us, death is not compulsory. For a Christian to die by gun wounds, when it’s not his or her time, shows a lack of knowledge that we are gods, and that we do not yet understand that we are sons of the Most High God (Psalm 82:6). This is not to blame Charlie Kirk for his death, but to assure us that we can live without fearing death.
The key to walking in this dimension is firstly to know and believe that you are god, and expect His deliverance. When we walk with full awareness of Godโs protection over our lives and expect His deliverance, we will be delivered from every situation meant to harm us. Apostle Paul walked in this dimension, which is why he said, โHe has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us again. On him we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver usโ (2 Corinthians 1:10 NIV).
