The LORD of hosts hath sworn, saying, Surely as I have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed, so shall it stand:(Isaiah 14:24 KJV)
Joseph was given a dream of a glorified future and it was very clear to him and everyone that he would be a leader over his brethren but then came all the calamity that befell him for years in captivity. It looked like it was over, but God was doing some engineering work that took him through that route, and Joseph ended up on the throne in Egypt.
God is very intentional and may sometimes interrupt what you are doing or where you are going to redirect you to where He wants you to be. A lot of times, we don’t see the love of God in this sovereign rescue. It is His mercy that He deploys to put us back on track when we stray away. Even though it might look like our lives turned for the negative and we no longer enjoy the things we used to enjoy, it is a grand plan to lead us to where He wants us to be so we can fulfill His purpose for our lives.
Furthermore, in our daily lives, the hand of God comes to rescue us from evil by delaying us for a season so that we don’t step into destruction. Some have missed flights that later crashed or missed public transport that ended up in the kidnapper’s den. The mercy of God sometimes truncates what looks like golden opportunities but are actually highways to the grave.
God is intentional because of His plans for our lives (Jer. 29:11) and as the good shepherd, He will never allow us to get lost and will do all in His capacity to keep us under His loving care. This can sometimes come in the form of correction, chastisement, or suffering so we can be pruned and mature in Him.
We have a glorious destiny in Christ and the Lord is out to jealously guard this investment. So, no matter the difficult situation you find yourself in, know that God will never leave you nor forsake you and is constantly repositioning you to maximize the glorious destiny He has apportioned for you.
