Title: The Journey of Faith

For we walk by faith, not by sight. (2 Corinthians 5:7)
When God wants to help a man or when He decides to take a believer through the process of maturity into sonship, He takes him on an adventure of faith. This is often a journey where your ego might be bruised, your comfort challenged, and your reliance on self, taken away. But through the process, God is building you, molding you, and revealing Himself more clearly just like he did to Joseph in the land of Egypt and shaped him into a man ready for rulership.
Faith is not just believing in God’s existence; it is trusting His character, even when His actions don’t make sense. Abraham, the father of faith, was called out of his land to a place he had never seen. He was promised a son in his old age and then asked to sacrifice that same son. I wonder what many believers would do today if they were in Abraham’s shoes. None of it made logical sense, but Abraham believed God. His journey was marked by obedience and uncertainty, and in the end, it resulted in divine fulfillment.
Every believer must embark on a similar journey. This is the blueprint that has been laid by our Lord Jesus and the disciples all went through it and this was what made Peter ask the Lord “We have left all and followed you”(Matt. 10:28). Faith journeys are not always comfortable. They often take us through deserts like Moses, into lion’s dens like Daniel, through fiery furnaces like the three Hebrew boys. These experiences are not punishments, they are training grounds. God uses them to purify motives, teach dependence, and deepen trust. In these moments, your ego may be bruised because faith doesn’t rely on your strength, credentials, or control. It demands surrender.
The journey of faith also strips us of the things we lean on for identity and security. It shifts our focus from the seen to the unseen. It teaches us that God is not just the destination; He is the companion who walks with us every step of the way. And as we walk with Him, we begin to look more like Him.
What part of your life is God asking you to trust Him with right now? Are you willing to let go and walk by faith? because true maturity in the kingdom is not measured by how much we know but by how much we trust. Sonship is not attained by striving but by surrendering. And this transformation happens by trusting the Master and taking the steps of faith.
