For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.ย  (Leviticus 17:11 KJV)

Every man is sustained by the blood flowing through his body and if for any reason, the blood in the system is lost in high volume, that man may cease to exist because the body is being kept alive by the blood. That is why even if the heart and every other organ in the body are working fine, the body is as good as dead as long as there is no sufficient blood in it. That is why even in the dark realms, the blood is chosen as probably the most potent instrument in making covenants.

The provision of the blood of Jesus is limitless to a believer and even when we access some of the benefits that Christ paid for on the cross starting with redemption of our souls to the glorious life that follows, there yet remains the power in the blood of Jesus. Because the life of the flesh is in the blood, whenever we plead the blood of Jesus upon ourselves, our children, homes and the works of our hands, we are receiving life. The kind that Jesus operated on even when he walked upon the earth.

In the face of attacks, the blood possesses the capacity to reverse death and issue life into our vessels. So, a little child suddenly wakes up at night with a scream, just plead the blood of Jesus on him or her. This was that which symbolises what the children of Israel did before leaving Egypt, killing a lamb and striking the Post of their house with the blood for preservation against the angel of death. The blood gave them life when every household in Egypt lost their firstborns (Exo. 12:29-30).

To dwell in perpetual safety from the attacks of the enemies, always wield the weapon of the blood of Jesus because it speaks better things over your life than the blood of Abel (Heb. 12:24).

Prayer point:
Letโ€™s thank Him for His word today. Let us plead the blood of Jesus over our lives and families to destroy the works of darkness.
