Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart. Luke 18:1
There are moments in life when praying feels heavy, and answers seem slow. Sometimes you wonder if anything is changing at all. Jesus understands this feeling, and He reminds us through the story of a determined woman who refused to give up. She had no power, no influence, and no one to defend her, yet she kept returning with the same request day after day. Her persistence eventually moved someone who didnโt even care.
If persistence can move an unwilling heart, imagine what your prayers mean to a Father who loves you deeply. You are not coming before someone indifferent or distantโyou are coming before a God who hears every whisper, sees every tear, and understands every desire.
Persistent prayer is not about trying to wear God down. It is about keeping your heart connected to Him, trusting His timing, and believing that He is working even when you cannot see it. Every time you pray, you are declaring faith. Every time you come again, you are saying, โLord, I still trust You.โ
Do not let discouragement silence your voice. God has not forgotten you. Keep praying. Keep believing. Keep coming. At the right time, He will answer in a way that reveals His love and wisdom.
God is not ignoring you.
He is not indifferent.
He is not overwhelmed or unavailable.
He hears every prayer, every whisper, every tear. Your Father hears you.
And in His perfect timing, He will answer. All you need to do is surrender to Godโs timing today.
Remember, the coming of our lord Jesus Christ is at hand. You need to be persistent in prayer so that you can stay connected to Him, so as not to miss that glorious day.
Shalom!
