We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak. ย 2 Corinthians 4:13

A few days ago, while my husband and I were praying, the Holy Spirit gently ministered something profound to my heart: โ€œConfess the opposite of what you feel.โ€

In the past, if I felt unwell, say a headache, I would immediately say, โ€œI have a headache.โ€ But the Spirit reminded me that as believers, we are not bound to speak only what we feel. Instead, we are called to speak what God has said concerning us. His promises, not our symptoms. Confession brings peace.

The Bible encourages us in Joel 3:10, “…Let the weak say, ‘I am strong’ “. And in 2 Corinthians 4:13, Paul writes, “…I believed, and therefore I have spoken; we also believe and therefore speak.” What we confess reveals what we believe. When we speak in agreement with Godโ€™s Word, we release faith into our situation.

Are you facing a difficult season? Is there an illness that just wonโ€™t go away? Donโ€™t give up. Keep declaring Godโ€™s truth over your life. Keep confessing, โ€œ _By His stripes I am healedโ€ (Isaiah 53:5, 1 Peter 2:24).

Remember, โ€œDeath and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruitโ€ (Proverbs 18:21). Your words carry power; use them to align your life with God’s promises.

Keep speaking faith, even when circumstances seem unchanged. I see God turning things around in your favour. Hold fast to your confession. He is faithful who promised (Hebrews 10:23).

Speak life!
Speak healing!
Speak breakthrough!
