Title: The season of Divine Celebration-Part 2
But let all those rejoice who put their trust in You;
Let them ever shout for joy, because You defend them;
Let those also who love Your name
Be joyful in You. dss
(Psalm 5:11 NKJV)
We have been learning about Divine Celebration for the past two weeks. Last week we learnt that to be able to enter a season of divine celebration, God needs to remember us. Today, I would like to talk about the second step that brings us into a season of divine celebration; The Divine Protection of God.
Without the Divine Protection of God there won’t be a Divine Celebration because there is an important link between both of them. We can’t go through life and not be under God’s protection. Without His protection, we will fall into serious problems. There won’t be a time for Rejoicing or Celebration because we will be burdened with unsolved problems. It is important to note that the absence of divine protection transfers the celebration of God’s people to the camp of their enemies. In other words, instead of you rejoicing and celebrating, your enemies will rather be celebrating and rejoicing over the evil that has befallen you (Psalm 38:16).
When God’s banner of protection is not over our lives, we easily fall into the trap of the evil one. Instead of we rejoicing over our victory, we become the laughing stock of the devil because we fell into the traps he set for us (Psalm 35:7). May we not go through life without God’s fire of protection surrounding us every day and every night in Jesus Name! (Psalm 125:2).
When Joseph’s enemies threw him into the pit they dug for him, it seemed at that time as if the Lord’s protection wasn’t upon him. Maybe you are that person who feels like God’s Divine Protection has left you, and you feel left alone in the pit you have fallen into. Remember that Joseph wasn’t left in the pit for too long. After a while, the same people who threw him in there, brought him out again. God is not a man, that He should lie,Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good? (Numbers 23:19). God doesn’t forsake His righteous ones. The same people that have buried your destiny and greatness in a pit will release them today from that very pit. The Lord shall cover you with His feathers of protection, and you shall come out today from every pit that they have buried your destiny.
When our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ was crucified, there was so much rejoicing and celebration in the camp of the enemy. It looked as if God had forsaken and didn’t protect our Lord Jesus, but the celebration over Jesus’ death was cut short by His resurrection (Matthew 27:46). If Satan knew that his joy over Jesus’ death would be just a brief one, he would never have bothered to crucify the Lord of Glory (1 Cor. 2:8).
Beloved in the Lord, God’s promise to you in this season of celebration is that, He will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one (2 Thess. 3:3). No weapon fashioned against you, your family and loved ones will prosper. The Lord’s Divine Protection over your life will give you countless reasons to rejoice and celebrate in this month and the rest of your years on earth.
