But these are the ones sown on good ground, those who hear the word, accept it, and bear fruit: some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some a hundred.โ€ ย (Mark 4:20 NKJV)

ย

Our Lord Jesus once told a parable about a Sower who went out to sow (Mark 4:1โ€“20). The seed represents the Word of God. The Sower was expecting the seed to grow, but obstacles prevented some of the seeds from growing. In the same way, the Lord expects us to grow and even become teachers at some point (Hebrews 5:12). When the Word of God comes, how we receive it will determine whether it will have an impact on our lives and cause us to bear fruit or not.

We grow by accepting the Word of God with all humility (James 1:21). Letโ€™s put aside every pride and prejudice and receive the Word of God from anyone the Lord sends โ€” irrespective of age, race, financial status, or appearance. It is also very important not just to receive the Word of God, but to obey, practice, and live by it.

Also, letโ€™s continue to abide in Christ by spending consistent time in His presence so we can draw the required nutrients for growth (John 15:5). Letโ€™s not allow the temporary sinful pleasures, deceitfulness of riches, or cares of this world to choke our spiritual growth and prevent us from bearing fruit (Mark 4:19).

Just as farmers expect their seeds to grow, the Lord expects His Word to produce fruit in our lives. Fruit that brings glory to His name. Growth is not just about gaining knowledge, but about transformation โ€” becoming more like Christ in our character, conduct, and influence (Gal 5:22).

Letโ€™s remember that growth takes time and intentionality. Just as seeds need the right environment to thrive โ€” sunlight, water, and good soil โ€” we also need the right spiritual environment: prayer, fellowship, study of the Word, and obedience.

Beloved in the Lord, the Lord has sown His Word in your heart not just for information, but for transformation. Do not settle for being a hearer only. Be a doer. Be fruitful because the seed must grow!

Prayer Point:

Letโ€™s thank God for His Word today. Letโ€™s ask the Lord to help all Believers to receive the word and be doers of the word so we can grow.

God bless you all
