Title: The speakings of the Spirit

I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved. (Habakkuk 2:1 KJV)
One of the benefits of having the Holy Spirit is that we are constantly being guided by Him. In doing this, he speaks in different forms to us so we can be informed and not be in darkness about the things pertaining to our lives, our families, the works of our hands, our communities, the future, and the things of God. However, we must be alive in our spirit to pick His frequency and hear what He is saying per time.
Recently, I woke up with a scripture in my head from Isaiah 54:4 and my interpretation of it was that God was just talking about a distant future event not knowing that something was going to happen the next day. It says:
โFear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded; for thou shalt not be put to shame………โ
I was about sealing a deal and just a week to finish, one of the parties involved pulled out and it looked like everything was going to crumble but then I remembered the scripture I had woken up to the day before and instantly I knew the Holy Ghost had gone ahead and brought intelligence to calm me down and that I will not be put to shame. Exactly as the Spirit revealed was the way it played out because an intervention came from another quarter and the transaction was completed.
The Holy Ghost speaks through multiple channels. Through the word, through visions and dreams, through peace in your mind, through prophetic means, through other vessels. Sometimes, he can even seize the vocal chord of someone else to speak to you and that is why you will attend a service and the preacher will be speaking about your matter without any prior knowledge of what you are going through. It is therefore worthy to note that we need discernment to differentiate the voice of God from the imitations of familiar spirits so we donโt fall for the deceptive nature of the devil appearing as an angel of light.
As much as prayer is the key, it will yield little result if we fail to listen with all intent to what the Spirit of God has to say. We must create time within our prayers like Habakkuk to hear what He has to say. Communing with the Holy Spirit must never be a monologue and as we gradually approach the new year, we must consciously position our spirit to hear from Him so we can profit through His plans and purposes for our lives.
Prayer point:
Letโs thank God for His word today. Let us ask Him to renew our spirits so we can hear him clearly.
