CALL TO PRAYER
Title:ย The Time the Glory Comes
By:ย ย Daniel Peter

And let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them. Accordingย to all that I shew thee,ย after the pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of all the instruments thereof, even so shall ye make itโฆโฆ And he reared up the court round about the tabernacle and the altar, and set up the hanging of the court gate.ย So Moses finished the work. Then a cloud covered the tent of the congregation,ย and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle.(Exo 25:8-9, 40:33-34ย KJV)
The statement, โlet us make man in our image, after our likenessโ made by God in Genesis 1:26 is the first indication that it was Godโs intention for man to manifest His glory. For Jesus Christ was described as being the brightness of His glory, and the express image of His person (Heb. 1:3). Therefore, the statement โin our image, after our likenessโ means God was saying โlet us create man to be like Jesus Christโ.
The word glory was translated in the Old Testament from the Hebrew word โKabod Kabodโ, and it was associated with wealth, fame, and honour etc. (Gen. 31:1, 45:13, & 49:6). However, in the New Testament, it took up a greater meaning. Glory in the Greek, the language the original New Testament script was written, is the word โDoxaโ, which means opinion. Therefore, God wants the opinion of himself to be seen in our lives; His greatness, righteousness, might, wisdom, and prosperity etc. By the redemption package, the Lord has given us His Glory (John 17:22), but this is resident in our spirit. For the world to see, this glory needs to be made manifest outwardly.ย
At what point in our walk with God is the glory of God revealed? To know this, letโs consider the construction of the tabernacle in the wilderness and the building of the temple by Solomon in Jerusalem. Both the tabernacle and the temple were symbolically representing the life of a Christian in the New Testament. In our scriptural verses of today, we see our God gave specific instructions to Moses on how the tabernacle is to be constructed and He spoke in a repeated manner that the construction of the tabernacle should be according to the pattern in heaven revealed to Moses in the mount (Exo. 25.9, 40). Now, we see that as soon as Moses finished the work, Godโs cloud covered the tabernacle and the glory of God came down (Exo. 40:33-34). Notice that nothing more was done for the glory to come; it came on its own as soon as the work was finished. This was also true for the building of the temple in Jerusalem by Solomon; as soon as Solomon obeyed all the instructions for the building of the temple and said his prayers, fire fell from heaven and the glory of God came down and filled the temple (2 Chro. 7:1). Notice again, the glory came on its own, when the work was finished.
As it was in the construction of the tabernacle in the wilderness and the temple in Jerusalem, so it is for our lives and ministries. We build our lives and ministries by being obedient to the word (Matt. 7:25, Acts 20:32). However, the instructions for our lives and ministries go beyond the written word. Like Moses, we are to build according to His pattern for us in heaven. Though we are all to manifest Christ, His pattern for one may be different for another because of the unique work God wants to do through them, and the aspect of His image He wants them to manifest.ย
To access His pattern for us in heaven, we need the spirit of revelation to be manifesting in our lives: This may come in the form of dreams, visions, and other prophetic revelations etc. As we obey what He shows us by these means, our houses (lives) is been built up. However, it is only when our obedience is complete that the glory comes (2Cor. 10:6, John 5:19).
Prayer Point:ย
Letโs thank God for His word today. Letโs ask Him to help each member of the body of Christ to build their lives according to His pattern for us in heaven.ย
