Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. ย (Ephesians 6:11 NKJV)

Some time ago I realized that a Christian-friend of mine had not been taking her relationship with Lord seriously. She was no more having her regular prayer and fellowship with the Lord. I therefore brought her attention to it and encouraged her in love to prioritise her fellowship with the Lord. However, she didnโ€™t take my advice and was even offended at me. At some point she completely backslided and began doing the bad things she used to do before she came to Christ. Thanks to abundant Grace and Mercies of God, she was able to find her way back to the Lord.

Beloved in the Lord, I want you to know that we are at war. This war began the moment we surrendered our lives to Christ. We are fighting a great battle, not physical but spiritual (Eph 6:12). We are at war with the devil and his accomplices. The enemy is roaring like a lion and would never stop until he steals, kills, and destroys us (1 Pet 5:8, Jn 10:10). His main goal is to see us return to the world so he can control us and use us for his purpose.

I donโ€™t like to spend a lot of time talking about the devil because I believe it makes him look powerful and therefore put fear in a lot of people. Once we are in Christ, we are already victorious over him. Understanding his ways of working will help us to continue to live in victory over him. The enemy is not powerful, but he is very tricky. He is also an experienced warrior because he has been fighting men of God for ages and therefore knows our vulnerabilities. Have you ever wondered why the devil didnโ€™t go to Adam who received the direct instructions from God but went to Eve instead? Have you wondered why the devil didnโ€™t visit Jesus Christ at the beginning of his 40-day Fast but waited until he was hungry?

The enemy is also likened to a serpent and one of the main survival strategies of a serpent is the ability to hide at a place without anyone discovering it. Most of the time when we experience calamities or unexpected circumstance, thatโ€™s when we realize that we are under attack. However, I want you to know today that the moment you lose your desire to pray and fellowship with the Lord, that is the moment the attack has begun. This is because he first focuses on weakening your foundation (Ps 11:3).

Beloved in the Lord, we are at war with the devil who is not powerful but very tricky and seeks to steal, kill, and destroy us. Therefore, Letโ€™s is not be ignorant of his strategies. Letโ€™s put on the full Armor of God always so we can withstand the tricks of the enemy.

Prayer Point:

Letโ€™s thank God for His Word today. Letโ€™s ask the Lord to help all Believers to be conscious of all the strategies of the enemy. Letโ€™s also ask Him to help us to put on the full Armor of God always so we can withstand the tricks of the enemy.

God bless you all!
