And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.ย  (Revelation 5:5 KJV)

One of the sovereign acts of God is to orchestrate situations that at best will look like a coincidence but when carefully looked at, you will discover that heavenโ€™s hand is all over it. He moves different people to make certain decisions or proclamations and He backs it up to fulfill His will and also bring His counsel to pass.

The couple at the wedding at Cana were faced with a problem of insufficiency on their big day. This may probably be due to the budget they had allocated for the wine and behold, the guests had finished it while the ceremony was still going on and it was not looking good. Meanwhile, a discussion had started somewhere in the crowd that they didnโ€™t know about that was to bring about an intervention. The intervention was so great that it surpassed the best that the celebrants themselves had to offer (John 2:3-10)

Solomon had been tipped to be king after his father David. While Adonijah was in the process of hijacking his throne, God began to trouble prophet Nathan who the called Bersheba and advised her to go unto the king and the plan worked perfectly and what could have taken a while to execute was fast forwarded and he became king that day. Meanwhile, Solomon was unaware of the background intervention until he was called upon (1 Kings 1:7-34).

There are situations and circumstances in our lives that looks insurmountable and may have the capacity to take sleep from our eyes but worry is never the antidote to a mountain(Matt. 6:27). Instead, a genuine faith in the God that intervenes secures us an answer. Mountains skip like rams before him and He specializes in calming storms with his word because they obey Him. When He does intervene, He may not even need our physical presence to bring His counsel to pass.

Prayer point:

Let us thank God for the word today. Letโ€™s pray that God will orchestrate an underground intervention in the lives of many believers who are at a breaking point.
