Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
(Hebrews 4:16 NKJV)

ย

A child once made a mistake and broke something valuable in the house. Fear filled his heart, and he hid, expecting punishment. Yet when his father found him, instead of anger, he opened his arms and said, โ€œCome to me.โ€ The child hesitated at first, but as he stepped forward, he discovered not rejection, but love, mercy, and help. In the same way, many believers withdraw from God when they feel weak or guilty, forgetting that His throne is not one of condemnation, but of grace (Rom 8:1).

The writer of Hebrews gives us a powerful invitation: โ€œLet us come boldly.โ€ This boldness is not based on our own righteousness, but on the finished work of Jesus Christ, our High Priest, who understands our weaknesses and intercedes for us (Heb 4:14โ€“15). Because of Him, we no longer approach God with fear or hesitation, but with confidence and assurance.

The throne we approach is described as the โ€œthrone of grace.โ€ Though God is King and sovereign, He invites us into His presence not to condemn us, but to extend grace. This changes everything. Instead of running away when we fail, we are called to run toward Him. At this throne, we obtain mercyโ€”God withholding the judgment we deserveโ€”and we find graceโ€”God giving us the strength and help we need (Eph 2:4โ€“5).

This grace is not distant or delayed; it is available โ€œin time of need.โ€ Godโ€™s help comes exactly when we need it. Whether in moments of weakness, fear, confusion, or failure, His grace is sufficient and His mercy is abundant (2 Cor 12:9). We are never without access, and we are never without help.

Beloved in the Lord, we must learn to draw near to God daily. The enemy often tries to push us into isolation, shame, and fear, but God calls us into His presence with confidence. No matter your situation today, the door is open, and the invitation still stands. Come boldly! Let us not stay distant but continually approach the throne of grace with faith. There we will find all that we need to live, to stand, and to overcome.

Prayer Point:

Let us thank God for giving us access to His throne through Jesus Christ. Let us ask Him to remove every fear, guilt, and hesitation, and to help us come boldly into His presence to receive mercy and grace in every time of need.

God bless you all!
