“My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.”
2 Corinthians 12:9 (NKJV)

There are moments when we feel weak, overwhelmed, discouraged, or inadequate. We may look at our circumstances and wonder, “How will I get through this?” But God does not promise that we will never face difficulties. He promises that His grace will be enough to carry us through them.

Grace is God’s undeserved help, strength, favour, and sustaining power given to us when we cannot depend on our own ability.

In 2 Corinthians 12:7–10, Apostle Paul spoke about a “thorn in the flesh” that troubled him. Three times he pleaded with God to take it away. But God answered:

“My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” — 2 Corinthians 12:9

God did not remove the difficulty immediately. Instead, He gave Paul sufficient grace to endure it. Paul therefore declared:

“For when I am weak, then I am strong.” — 2 Corinthians 12:10

Sometimes God changes the situation; other times, He strengthens us to go through the situation. Either way, His grace is sufficient.

What Does God’s Grace Do for Us?

1. Grace strengthens us in weakness — Isaiah 40:29.

2. Grace helps us endure trials — 2 Corinthians 12:9.

3. Grace gives us confidence to approach God — Hebrews 4:16.

4. Grace helps us overcome temptation — Titus 2:11–12.

5. Grace sustains us when we cannot sustain ourselves — Psalm 55:22.

Imagine a child learning to walk. The child may stumble and fall repeatedly, but the parent does not abandon the child. The parent stretches out a hand, lifts the child, and encourages them to try again.

That is a picture of God’s grace. Our weakness does not make God withdraw from us. His grace reaches for us, lifts us, and gives us strength to continue.

You may be facing a situation today that you cannot handle by your own strength. You may be saying, “I don’t know how I will make it through.” Remember God’s words: “My grace is sufficient for you.”

You may not have everything you need in yourself, but you have access to the grace of God. His grace is enough for today’s burden, tomorrow’s challenge, and every season you will face.

Prayer Points

1. Let’s thank God for His word.
2. Let’s thank God for His amazing grace.
3. Let’s ask God to help us to depend not on our own strength but on His power.

4. Let’s ask God to give us grace to overcome every trial, temptation, and difficult situation. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
