CALL TO PRAYER

Title: Peace

By: Daniel Peter

Date: 30.10.2026

“And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.”

Colossians 3:15 (KJV)

One of the ways God guides us and assures us of His presence is through His peace. Jesus is our peace (Ephesians 2:14), and His peace can remain with us even when our circumstances suggest that all is not well. This is why the Scripture instructs us to let His peace rule in our hearts.

Imagine receiving two job offers. One offers a higher salary and appears more attractive, while the other pays less. Yet, whenever you consider the higher-paying job, you lack peace, but you find rest in choosing the lower-paying one. You follow that peace, and months later, the high-paying company folds up, while you flourish in the job you chose. What appeared to be the less attractive option becomes the path of greater fulfilment.

Beloved, God’s peace does not always lead us towards what looks best; sometimes, it leads us towards what He has prepared for us. Even when obedience appears to place us at a disadvantage, His peace reminds us that we are not walking alone. The presence of challenges does not necessarily mean the absence of God, just as favourable circumstances do not always mean we are in His will.

Therefore, learn to let the peace of Christ rule in your heart. As you follow His Word and wisdom, allow His peace to guide your decisions and anchor your confidence in Him. When circumstances look contrary, remember that the presence of trouble does not cancel the presence of Jesus, our Peace.

Prayer Points:

Let’s thank God for His word today. Let’s also thank Him for being our peace. Let’s ask Him to let His peace rule in our hearts.
