Title: Our Living Hope

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you,
(1 Peter 1:3-4 NKJV)
A person who has a secure inheritance lives with confidence because he knows his future is assured. Likewise, the word of God reminds believers that through the abundant mercy of God, we have been born again into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Unlike the temporary possessions of this world, our inheritance in Christ is eternal, incorruptible, and securely reserved for us in heaven (Matt. 6:19–20).
Our salvation is not based on our own goodness or achievements but on the abundant mercy of God demonstrated through Jesus Christ (Eph. 2:4–5). By His death and resurrection, we have been given new life and the assurance of eternal life (Jn. 3:3–5). Because Christ lives, our hope is alive. His resurrection guarantees that sin has been defeated, death has lost its sting, and all who believe in Him will one day share in His glory (1 Cor. 15:54–57).
We live in a world filled with uncertainty, suffering, and disappointment. Yet our confidence is not built upon earthly possessions, human achievements, or the changing circumstances of life. Our hope is anchored in Jesus Christ, who is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Heb. 13:8). As children of God, we are called to fix our hearts on things above and not merely on the temporary things of this world (Col. 3:1–2).
This living hope should also inspire us to live holy and faithful lives as we await the glorious appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ (Titus 2:11–13). Knowing that an eternal inheritance awaits us should encourage us to persevere through every trial, remain steadfast in our faith, and continue serving the Lord with joy, knowing that our labour in Him is never in vain (1 Cor. 15:58).
Beloved in the Lord, let us continually thank God for the priceless gift of salvation and live each day with the joyful expectation of the eternal inheritance He has prepared for those who love Him.
Prayer Point:
Let us thank God for His abundant mercy, the gift of the new birth, and the living hope we have through the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Let us ask Him to help us remain steadfast in faith, live holy lives, and keep our hearts focused on the eternal inheritance reserved for us in heaven.
God bless you all.
