“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” — Isaiah 41:10 (KJV)
One of the things God repeatedly tells His people in Scripture is, “Fear not.” This is because fear can hinder us from trusting Him and fulfilling His purpose for our lives. God does not promise that we will never face challenges; rather, He assures us of His presence and help in the midst of them.
An example of someone who faced a situation that could inspire fear was Joshua. After the death of Moses, he was given the responsibility of leading the children of Israel into the Promised Land. It was a great assignment, with many battles ahead. Yet, God commanded him to be strong and courageous, assuring him that He would be with him wherever he went (Joshua 1:9).
Beloved, the reason you must not fear is not that you have everything figured out, but that God is with you. You may not know how a situation will turn out, but you can trust the One who knows the end from the beginning. Do not allow the uncertainty of tomorrow to weaken your confidence in His Word today.
Therefore, whatever you are facing, refuse to be overwhelmed by fear. Remember God’s promises, encourage yourself in Him, and continue to obey His instructions. The presence of challenges does not mean the absence of God. He who has promised to strengthen and uphold you is faithful.
