“Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.” — Isaiah 60:1
Many Christians expect that someday, miraculously, their lives will change for the better. We’ve heard the prophecies in Scripture like our memory verse, but no one tells us what to do until that breakthrough moment arrives.
The Scripture says:
“An heir, as long as he is a child, is under guardians and tutors until the time appointed by the father.” Galatians 4:2
In other words, your level of wisdom and maturity determines what you’re given access to.
No one should expect a glorious future they have casually prepared for.
Yes, there is a time for everyone. But if you are not approved when your time comes, you will miss the ride.
It is said that light reveals a man.
We are a city set on a hill. No one lights a lamp and covers it. Instead, it is placed where all can see — and we are meant to be seen.
Of Daniel it was said that he had “light and wisdom like the gods.” Daniel 5:14
Brethren, I implore you: study to show yourself approved.
Painstakingly prepare for what God has called you to be — a Ruler, a Mother, a Producer, a Teacher.
Your light is here. Don’t meet it unprepared.

- Let’s thank God for His word today.
- Let us pray, Father, give me a burning desire for wisdom and study.
- Let us pray, Father, as I study, let me find light to give to my world.
- Let us pray that God gives us joy as we study.
