Title: The Crown Of Glory

And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that does not fade away.
(1 Peter 5:4 NKJV)
The Bible tells us about a faithful shepherd who cared for his sheep, protected them from danger, and stayed with them through difficult times (Jn 10:11). He did not serve because the work was always easy, but because the sheep had been entrusted to him. In the same way, God has entrusted each of us with responsibilities in His Kingdom.
The word of God reminds those who faithfully serve God that our labour is not in vain. There is a day when the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ, will appear, and those who have faithfully served Him will receive the crown of glory that does not fade away (1 Pet 5:4).
The world offers rewards that are temporary. Wealth can disappear, positions can change, physical beauty fades, and earthly achievements are eventually forgotten. But the reward Christ gives is eternal. Jesus said, “And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to everyone according to his work.” (Rev. 22:12)
Therefore, beloved, do not become discouraged in serving the Lord. Sometimes our service may go unnoticed by people. We may pray, encourage others, evangelise, give, serve in church, care for the needy, and remain faithful without receiving recognition. But God sees everything we do for Him (Heb. 6:10). Our focus must not be the praise of people, but the approval of Christ (1 Cor. 15:58). Whatever God has placed in your hands, serve Him faithfully and wholeheartedly.
We must also remember that Jesus is not only our Saviour; He is our Chief Shepherd. We are His sheep, and He is leading us toward an eternal inheritance (John 10:27–28). One day, He will appear, and our faithfulness will be rewarded.
Beloved in the Lord, let us therefore remain humble, faithful, watchful, and committed to the work of God. The crown of glory is ahead of us. Let us not allow temporary difficulties to make us abandon an eternal reward. “Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.” (Rev. 2:10).
Prayer Point:
Let us thank God for counting us worthy to serve in His Kingdom. Let us pray for grace to remain faithful in serving the Lord until the end.
