He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.
(Matthew 28:6 NKJV)

ย

In the early hours of the morning, as the sun began to rise, a group of women made their way to the tomb of Jesus. Their hearts were heavy with sorrow, their hopes seemingly buried with Him. As they approached, they wondered who would roll away the stone. But when they arrived, they were met with a startling realityโ€”the stone had already been rolled away, and the tomb was empty. In that moment, sorrow turned into wonder, and despair gave way to hope. The empty tomb became the greatest declaration the world has ever known: Jesus is alive.

The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the foundation of our faith and the confirmation of everything He accomplished on the cross. It is Godโ€™s declaration that the sacrifice of Christ was accepted, that sin has been dealt with, and that salvation is complete (Rom 4:25). If Christ had remained in the grave, our faith would be meaningless, but because He rose again, we have assurance of forgiveness and new life (1 Cor 15:17).

Through the resurrection, the power of death was broken. What once held humanity captive has now been defeated. Jesus declared Himself to be the resurrection and the life, and by rising from the dead, He proved that death does not have the final word (Jn 11:25). This gives us a living hopeโ€”that just as He lives, we too shall live (1 Cor 15:20).

The resurrection is not only about life after death; it is about new life now. In Christ, we are made new creations, no longer bound by our past, but empowered to live transformed lives (2 Cor 5:17). The same power that raised Jesus from the dead is at work in us, enabling us to overcome sin, endure trials, and walk in victory (Eph 1:19โ€“20).

The empty tomb calls for a response. It calls us to believe, to surrender, and to live boldly for Christ. The risen Savior invites us into a living relationship with Him, one marked by hope, power, and purpose. We are no longer defined by fear or defeat, but by the victory of Christ.

Beloved in the Lord, let us rejoice in the power of the resurrection. Let us walk in the newness of life it brings and hold firmly to the hope it gives. May our lives be a testimony that Christ is risen indeed.

Prayer Point:

Let us thank God for the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Let us ask Him to fill our hearts with the power of His resurrection, to help us walk in newness of life, and to strengthen our faith in the victory we have through Christ.

God bless you all!
